I spent the rainy morning with miss aubrie and her mom. The weather this week has really been raining on my photography parade, but we made the most of it and got some precious pictures. Aubrie is a sweet baby-very curious and interactive. I always joke around and say that 3-5 mths. is the “awkward baby phase”–but she really was just precious.

More to come–just wanted to throw up a few for you. Enjoy!

Nancy: What a beautiful baby!

Oh my sweet Kolt. He’s getting so big. And so beautiful. He was an absolute doll for his session–and was sick! I couldn’t believe how well he did. It is the first time, however, I’ve ever had to airbrush and “photoshop” a baby more than their mom. That nose was red! Love you sweet Kolt–you bring so much joy to our lives!

boogers

Boogers. And butts. It still gets Will every time. Boogers + butts (ie: Look Will! There is a booger on your butt!..works especially well) Now if only I can figure out something that Madeline will think is hilarious. I think that girl’s too smart for my trickery! Will & Madeline were beautiful as usual…we had a great time goofing off in my backyard and even found a skeleton (gross) and tons of locust shells. You just never know what might happen when you’re with me.

summer evening

Very active imaginations seeing shapes in the clouds…

Yes folks, this kid is hysterical. She also had a “model pose” and a “stank face.” I repeat, she had a stank face. I died laughing!

I made her do it.

Below is Ian’s “stank face”

And finally…one of my favorite pictures I’ve ever taken.

Screen doors slamming. Lingering smells of supper. Ice cream man chiming down the street. Happy cicada songs. Squealing little girls. Finally, the sounds of moms beckoning their kids home for the night.

Summer nights.

Don’t these images just make you want to be eight again? I was lucky enough to spend one of the last few sweet nights of this summer with Erin and Ian, two of my very favorite clients. We played in the backyard and checked out their super sweet playhouse their daddy built. Everything you see is real. It’s beautiful.

My boys even tagged along to play with their buddies they don’t get to see very often anymore. We had a blast catching up.

Thanks so much P family–I just love you guys. You always let me, be me.

I just had to give everyone a sneaky peek of the H twins, Blaize and Izabel! Boy are they gorgeous! I’ve been excited for the past 8 months about these two and they are just precious! More to come…
