Welcome to the world, little one. What a beautiful, amazing day I’ve had. A restless night full of anticipation and wonder. A stunning, crisp, fall day full of the promise of a brand new life.

Anabeth  came into this world this afternoon at 12:41 weighing a perfect seven pounds, two ounces and was nineteen inches long. Her shock of chestnut brown hair is extraordinary!!!!

Once again, I stood in tears and wonder and amazement and gratitude….just speechless. It was just extraordinary.

Can’t wait for her first official session Tuesday! Congrats A & S! We love you so much! She’s just breathtaking.

Notice the arrow flying to the right of the frame. Yes. That’s an arrow. Lauren was throwing them at Tucker. Next frame: Tucker dies. Slowly and loudly on the gravel road. He even dropped his magnifying glass. Tragic.blog3

blog9There is just something about little boys this age. I don’t know what it is. But I just love it. They are so full of adventure and love…full of independence and spunk, but still requiring plenty of love and gentle reassurance. I feel like this might be the age when they love their mom’s to the fullest–without reserve or any of the embarassment of the years to come. They are just precious.

I spent the afternoon with one of my beautiful girl friends and her son, Tucker. I’m so happy that we were able to capture the really special relationship the two of them have. So sweet. L is the ultimate little-boy mom…sword fights, cowboys, and tickles.
